January Video Game Releases

1. Dead Space Remake

Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X and S, PS5

Release Date: January 27, 2023

Dead Space is a classic among fans of horror games.

The original game was released in 2008, and it garnered a large following (for a good reason!), but the 2023 version takes the game to a whole new level.

If you’re not familiar with Dead Space, here’s a quick introduction to the game.

You play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer who finds himself on a spaceship infested with Necromorphs — scary, murderous creatures. You and your team need to defeat the enemies, fix the communication malfunction on the ship and survive.

Needless to say — the game is visually stunning.

Dead Space Remake stays true to the original story, but there are some nice new surprises that make it all the more compelling. For example, Isaac is no longer the silent character. He can talk and he looks more realistic than before.

The game features some spine-chilling moments that fans of the horror genre will surely appreciate!

Arguably the most anticipated game in early 2023, Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game (RPG) set in the 1890s.

The game puts you in charge of a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

You can choose a house for your character, have them make friends, master spells, tame fantastic beasts, make potions and fight powerful enemies.

Since the story is set in the 19th century, you won’t run into Harry Potter and his friends, but that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy experiencing Hogwarts’ magic with your witch or wizard!

Wild Hearts is an action role-playing game in which your character explores the wilderness to hunt down gigantic beasts called Kemono.

You can tackle the beasts either on your own or with your friends.

Wild Hearts is a Karakuri-type of game, meaning you get to craft tools and mechanisms from the resources you collect to defeat the beasts.

As the game progresses, you get to learn new combos, so you can be more efficient during the fights.

The game features magical visuals inspired by feudal Japan, so if that’s something you like, we urge you to check out Wild Hearts!
